“FISHERS OF MEN”

Mark 1:16-20

¹⁶ Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew 

the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 

¹⁷ And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” 

¹⁸ And immediately they left their nets and followed him. 

¹⁹ And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. 

²⁰ And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him.

Matt 4:19  

And He said to them, “Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk], and I will make you fishers of men.”

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are His disciples and we are to call many others to also be His disciples.

Matt 28: 19-20

¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
